Introducing our new service - The Empower Turn Around Team
Bringing together our substantial expertise in trouble-shooting and interim management, Empower are proud to launch their turn around team phase 1 and phase 2.
Turn Around Team phase 1
A team of specialist consultants will review every element of your operations, including HR, Health and Safety, reporting procedures, compliance with current legislation including the Equalities Act, Charity and company law, staff and team performance and finance. At the end of this investigative phase conducted over one month, we will provide a comprehensive report with our findings and recommendations.
With this report, the board will have the information they require to make a full assessment of risk and what action they need to take.
Turn Around Team phase 2
If you wish, Empower can come back into your organisation and implement the changes. We aim to turn around your organisation within 4 months (unless exceptional circumstances arise) enabling you to feel confident that any risks are being managed and reduced. At Empower, we aim to build charities for the future so in addition to responding to critical issues we also ensure that proper procedures are in place to embed good practice going forward.

Business Support enquiry
Empower undertook a business survey on behalf of Upper Amman Valley Communities First, contacting around 300 local businesses to establish their needs in terms of skills, qualifications and experience. The survey provided the partnership with guidance on the types of training and support local residents needed in order for them to compete effectively for local jobs.

Empower was brought in to work with a community to develop an open and accountable residents group with whom London Borough of Barnet could consult on the stock transfer from Barnet Homes to Warden Housing Association. Tenant Participation Officers had worked with the existing tenants group but had struggled to develop the group into one representative of the whole community. Empower engaged all residents and helped develop a network of tenant and resident members supported by key stakeholders including the Police, Youth Service, Barnet College, London Borough of Barnet and a variety of voluntary and community groups. The Dollis Valley Community network was formed which reflected the community and had the mandate to consult on behalf of the residents.
